Parent Programming at Cannon

This week we have a few upcoming programs that we’d like to highlight:

  • Freshman Parent Coffee – tomorrow, January 15th @ 8:15am in Foundation Hall
    • This session is designed specifically for parents of freshmen. Topics to be covered include, but are not limited to, course selection, freshmen programming, understanding PSAT results and resources for post-graduate planning
  • Sophomore Parent Program – tomorrow, January 15th @ 6:30pm in Foundation Hall
    • A program designed specifically for parents of sophomores. Topics to be included, but not limited to, are curriculum planning for junior year, conversations about post-secondary options, and the GPA game.

  • College Admission Deans’ Roundtable – February 19th @ 6:30pm in the CPAC (RSVP coming soon!)
    • Rick Clark, Director of Admission at Georgia Tech (author of the well-known GA Tech Admission Blog) and Angel Perez, VP of Enrollment at Trinity College (subject of a recent NY Times article by Paul Tough) will be present for an evening of moderated discussion. This event is an opportunity for all parents to gain a deeper understanding of the landscape of college admissions and higher education.
